Goldfinger Jewels started in 1994 to commercialize charms representing souvenirs of Mauritius such as the dodo, the map of Mauritius, scuba divers, dolphins, marlins, starfish and much more.
Since the beginning the products of Goldfinger were appreciated by tourists and many of them wanted to see how we were manufacturing these charms, therefore, we approached a hotel and sought the permission to bring a craftsman who would manufacture our charms publicly in a small corner outside the main restaurant.
This Craftsman show became so popular that Goldfinger was asked to present the same show in many other hotels. Cherry on the cake, while performing these shows; the company started getting orders to create and manufacture exclusive and unique pieces of Jewellery for tourists. Given the fact, tourists stay on average 8 days on the island, the orders were manufactured within a very short lapse of time.
The company therefore hired 6 craftsmen and 2 stone setters and innovated in the jewellery sector. It proposed exclusive jewels within 48 hours to tourists.
Twenty years and 10,000 pieces later, the company is proud to have honoured its word, without a single delay. This is certainly an accomplishment worthy of a world record. A fantastic journey made possible by our extraordinary team of Mauritian craftsmen.
The company has received national recognition as the recipient of the Mauritius Business Excellence Award 2013 ; the Blue Carbon Award 2011 as an environmental friendly company and an International Award with the Excellence d’Or from the European Union in 2010.
Today, Goldfinger has expanded into 4 showrooms around the island and it holds the biggest diamond and precious stones stock in Mauritius.
